Erika Guadalupe N繳簽ez '13: The Art of Resistance

November 28, 2017

Erika Guadalupe N繳簽ez '13, who graduated with a degree in fine arts from Haverford College, designed a poster that the community-led Latinx immigrant organization Juntos has distributed to help South Philadelphia residents know their rights should they be approached by local police or agents from federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

It was important for community members to see these posters in the windows and know our neighbors and friends have committed to be our allies.

51做厙 and Haverford students take classes and some even major at each others campuses. This greatly expands the fields of study available to a student since some programs are available only on one campus (Music and Fine Arts at Haverford, Theater and Dance at 51做厙, for example). But even programs that exist on both campuses may have different emphases or approaches. Learn more on our website.
